Lost was the first screen in 2004 and ended in 2010 after its sixth series. Created by JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof, the show revolves around the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, which crashed on a tropical island.
The series was filmed in Oahu, Hawaii. The show chronicles the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, a commercial plane flying between Sydney and Los Angeles which crashed on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean.
The survivors soon find they are not alone as a series of strange and mysterious events unfold. The show contains elements of the supernatural and science fiction.
The show was a big hit with fans around the world and its cast which included Evangeline Lily (Kate), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Yunjin Kim (Sun) also became superstars.
The show was supposed to end after just three seasons but Lindelof said that ABC executives pushed them to untangle the mythology of the show knowing that viewers wouldn’t be happy about being kept in the dark for too long.
“One of the notes that we were getting back was, ‘When are you gonna resolve these mysteries, and once you resolve these mysteries, why will people keep watching the show?'” Lindelof told Collider.
Looking at the reaction to the Instagram post it appears that there is a lot of nostalgia for Lost and fans have not forgotten the show or its cast.
All six seasons of the show is currently streaming on Disney+.
