Cardi B marked her 31st birthday with a lavish celebration where her husband, Offset, gifted her three Hermès bags with a combined value of nearly half a million dollars. The couple celebrated at the famous West Hollywood venue, Delilah.
Offset, also 31, captured moments from the birthday celebration on his Instagram Stories. In a video, Cardi, dressed in a stunning red lace gown, was presented with a trio of iconic orange Hermès boxes. Her excitement was palpable as she unwrapped the first box, revealing a hot pink crocodile Kelly bag. A similar bag was recently sold for approximately $92,000.
Limited edition purse
The next purse was even more remarkable. Cardi unveiled an exceptionally rare Faubourg Birkin, often referred to as the “House Birkin” because it is modelled after Hermès’ flagship store on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. One of these bags is currently listed for an astonishing $298,975 on 1stdibs.
Cardi exclaimed, “My favourite!” upon revealing this unique Birkin and humorously commented, “I don’t even think I’m ready to see the other one.” Offset playfully suggested she take a shot before opening the last box, which contained a glossy gold-coloured crocodile Birkin. A similar version fetched $72,000 at a Christie’s auction in 2020. This brought the total value of Cardi’s birthday gifts to around $462,975.
Extravagant celebration
Cardi already has an extensive collection of Hermès bags, which she has previously showcased on Instagram. In addition to the luxurious bags, Offset decorated their home with hot pink roses, balloons, and candles to create a festive atmosphere for the celebration.
Fans took to Cardi’s Instagram post, praising Offset for his extravagant gift-giving, with some jokingly asking where they could find a partner like him and encouraging Cardi not to become pregnant just yet, as they eagerly anticipate her new album and tour.
