Taylor Swift fans (also known as Swifties) have managed to raise more than $120,000 in funds for Kamala Harris’ campaign.
The Swifties got together on Aug 27 for a virtual rally. Some 34,000 fans attended the event online. Senator Elizabeth Warren was the guest speaker and singer Carole King also attended, singing Swift’s super hit song “Shake it Off”.
King said that Swift was her “musical and songwriting granddaughter”.
Swift did not attend the virtual rally and has not made any formal endorsement of Kamala Harris or vice presidential candidate Tim Walz to date.
Where was Swift during this time? She was at her Rhode Island residence entertaining her celebrity friends, namely Channing Tatum, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Swift was quick to back President Joe Biden in 2020 but has not endorsed Kamala Harris yet with many curious as to why.

Her lack of endorsement has led Donald Trump to release fake AI ads to gain a Swiftie following. He recently released several photos of women wearing Swifties for Trump t-shirts on his Truth Social page though the images were quite obviously fake.
He also shared an AI image of Swift dressed as Uncle Sam with the caption; “Taylor wants YOU to vote for Donald Trump.”
In 2020, Swift was very vocal in her endorsement of Biden. She had written on X, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? “When the looting starts the shooting starts??? We will vote you out in November.”
At the time Taylor also spoke to V Magazine on her decision to endorse the Biden-Harris ticket.
Trump on his part seems to be quite obsessed with Swift as he stated in an interview with Variety magazine some time back. He told the co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh: “I think she’s beautiful – very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented. I think she’s beautiful, actually – unusually beautiful.”
Trump mentioned “beautiful” five times — and obviously objectifying her in such a manner and then doctoring photos to make it look like Swifties support him is not going to go down well with Taylor Swift or the Swifties. The man appears to be conflicted between Swift’s looks and her political beliefs.
