sciatica

Adele is currently struggling with sciatica and despite her wonderful performances in Las Vegas, the 34-year-old says she is really struggling with sciatica.

The superstar singer was handing out t-shirts to fans when she said that her back was in severe pain which made it extremely difficult to run from one side of the venue to the other.

Bad Sciatica

“I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica,” she said.

In a previous interview with The Face, Adele talked about how it had affected her life in a big way.

“I’ve been in pain with my back for like, half of my life, really. It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture.”

Adele said that she suffered from a slipped disc at 15 from sneezing. “I was in bed and I sneezed and my fifth one flew out,” she said.

And then in January last year, she slipped her sixth one. A slipped disc is when the soft cushion of tissue between the bones in your spine pushes out. The condition is painful as it presses on the nerves but gets better with rest and gentle exercise.

It usually causes lower back pain, numbness or tingling in the shoulders, back, arms, hand, legs and feet, neck pain, problems bending or straightening one’s back, muscle weakness and pain in the behind, hips or legs, more so if the disc is pressing on the sciatic nerve.

C-section

“And then where I had a C-section, my core was useless,” she said as she shared her newfound love for exercise.

Despite this setback, Adele continues to entertain fans at her Vegas residency with amazing performances of her hit songs. She also serenaded her boyfriend during her concert recently.

She is currently dating sports agent, Rich Paul following her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki.

During his birthday she said, “It’s my boyfriend’s birthday today, and I love him more than life itself. Can we wish him happy birthday?”.

The audience then started singing Happy Birthday to him.
