Adele will be having a concert at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with a date that’s to be confirmed as she is rescheduling her earlier announced dates.
Those who bought tickets before the re-scheduled dates will be able to use them for the new dates but many are also re-selling these tickets and that too for double and triple the original amount.
Even the hard-to-reach seats on the balcony are going for £650 while other tickets are going for hundreds of thousands.
The Mail on Sunday reported that one seat in a central position at the front of the stage has been priced at £197,698.
One source said, “Most people hung on to their tickets and the £200,000 ask is a big one but clearly whoever is trying to resell those tickets thinks they might be able to get the big bucks.
“There are more reasonably priced seats available but you would expect prices to soar closer to the first concert date as people make last-minute plans to head to Vegas to see her.
“If someone is asking for £200,000 a ticket they must believe there is someone out there willing to pay for it.”
The original price of the ticket was £75 with standard seats reaching £175 but they were sold out in just minutes.
All this happened when Adele announced that she would make her concerts more intimate and not such large scale events and even mingle with her fans during the event.
Her earlier concert plan was to have a 40 strong orchestra and 60 singers in the choir but that has shrunk to 20 with three back up singers on stage and her choir has now been reduced to 30.
“Adele wants to make her mark with this show and be regarded as one of the greatest ever headliners in Sin City. The genius of this approach is that the intimacy is something different compared to other acts. Adele’s show will be packed with her warmth and personality.
“The production still features dazzling events of stunning backdrops aided by screens and stage props.
“The choir is currently being discussed on whether extra singers should be brought in for a finale featuring Skyfall,” said the same source.
