South Korean fantasy drama series Alchemy of Souls has a huge fan following. Depicting the story of young mages dealing with heaven and earth, the show starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min and Hwang Min-hyun will be making a comeback at the end of the year.

Part 1 of Season one ended on August 28 and part 2 is set to air in December 2022.

The series has been fairly popular in Korea and internationally and now sits at the top of K-drama lists for many after the end of the first season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The show which is currently streaming on Netflix will continue in December from where it left off.

As to whether or not the lead role played by Jung So min will return is something that the production team has kept under wraps so as not to have any spoilers.

Alchemy of Souls is penned by famous screenwriting duo, the Hong sisters. It premiered on June 18, 2022. The story is set in the fictional land of Daeho as young mages try to overcome their fates due to a magic spell known as the “alchemy of souls” that allows them to switch bodies.

The story is about Jang Uk (Lee Jae-Wook) who comes from the noble Jang family. He has an unpleasant secret that could lead to a big scandal. Jang Uk meets Mu-Deok (Jung So-Min), an elite warrior trapped in a physically weak body. She becomes Jang Uk’s servant but also teaches him how to fight.

Then there is also Seo Yul (Minhyun) who comes from the noble Seo family. Outwardly he seems perfect with a good looks, intelligence, and in possession of strong martial arts skills. Go Won (Shin Seung-Ho) plays the crown prince of Daeho and hopes to become a kind and generous king one day.
