Travis Barker has refuted the notion that his past infatuation with Kim Kardashian played a role in the feud between her and his wife, Kourtney Kardashian.
The Blink-182 musician has finally addressed the “absurd” rumours that began circulating when excerpts from his 2016 memoir, “Can I Say,” resurfaced earlier this year.
Fans concerned about Travis Barker
He told LA Times on Sunday that people tend to take some details and believe that they have uncovered the mystery why they are arguing. It is simply ridiculous. Barker added that Kourtney Kardashian’s fans are concerned about Barker and that he is a womaniser that needs to stop.
In his candid book, Barker described the Skims founder as “extremely attractive” and confessed to “secretly admiring her” during his brief relationship with Paris Hilton in 2006.
“I shared those details because I wanted to put them behind me,” explained the 47-year-old drummer. It was therapeutic for him.
Barker, who married Kourtney Kardashian last year, emphasized that there was no family drama regarding his short-lived crush on Kim Kardashian, as “she’s Kourtney’s sister. She knows we used to talk. Nothing negative was occurring.”
Debunking rumours
In 2021, Kim Kardashian, aged 43, dispelled rumours about her romantic history with the “I Miss You” artist. The Skims founder responded to a fan asking whether she has ever been with Barker and she responded on her Instagram Story with a firm no. Kim Kardashian shared about her long friendship with him and her happiness for her sister’s relationship with Barker.
The feud between Kim Kardashian and the 44-year-old Poosh founder actually stemmed from a dispute concerning a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show, which unfolded on Hulu’s “The Kardashians.”
Family feud
Kourtney Kardashian expressed her discomfort in a confessional, saying, “It’s disheartening that my sister used my wedding for a business opportunity.” She was referring to the deal Kim Kardashian struck with the fashion brand after their collaboration on her wedding in Italy a few months prior.
The wellness advocate later labeled Kim Kardashian as an “egotistical… narcissist” and a “witch” that she “absolutely detests.”
