The apple never falls far from the tree. Beyoncé’s five year old daughter is so much like her when it comes to fashion. In an interview with Oprah Daily, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles revealed that Rumi may be just a toddler but she is already very interested in looking good.

“It’s funny because Rumi loves fashion. She picks out her own clothes. We recently went to Disneyland and she put on her Mickey Mouse shorts. Then she wanted to put on a sparkly printed top, which had the same colors. It was really cute,” said the doting grandmother.

When her sister commented that she was being a bit much Rumi had said, “This is my style.”

“She is 5, I was impressed,” said Tina.

Tina said Rumi takes after Beyoncé’s sister Solange. “When she was little she would wear outrageous stuff and had an amazing sense of style. So you let them do their own thing. You can’t say, No, this doesn’t go with this or that,” added Tina.

While having fun with clothes at such a young age, Rumi is also a model for Beyoncé’s athleisure line, Ivy Park.

She was recently featured with her mother in images on social media sporting looks from the Adidas collaboration.

Tina said Rumi was the best test for the brand in terms of comfort because kids won’t wear anything that makes them feel uncomfortable or restricted.

“They have definite determination about what they like and what they don’t like. When Beyoncé’s doing the first samples, they get them and some things they love, and some things they can tell are not their favourite. Kids like things that are comfortable. They don’t want anything that’s scratchy or too tight or high around the neck. So they absolutely give input on the brand. And they wear it- I mean, they are in Ivy Park,” said Tina.
