Manila, Sept. 6 — Ye, formerly Kanye West, is known to vent out his feelings online. Whether matters of love or business, he makes sure everyone knows what’s happening. If you haven’t been keeping up, here’s the 411 on the new conundrum between him and his collaborators.
A couple of days ago, the musician posted an Instagram image with text which reads: “Here is the through line. Gap having meetings about me without me. Adidas releasing old shoes and colouring my shoes like I’m dead. Me not have a say on where my children go to school. Call me whatever names you want. If you understand why I will not back down on my businesses, my brands, and my children then you’re the ones who are crazy.”
The artist continued to vent out about being in the dark about his brands which are in collaboration with Gap and Adidas. He posted a thread of images aimed at Adidas Senior Vice President and General manager Daniel Cherry, who he said to be responsible for making decisions for Yeezy footwear without the artist’s approval.
Ye also posted members of the Adidas Supervisory Board who he thinks were involved with the current directions of the brand.
In another post, Ye claimed that the sportswear brand tried to buy him out. He then again mentioned the Adidas officials and the royalty he gets from Yeezy. See the screenshot below:
In another statement, the artist said it will cost the brand billions to keep him and billions to let him go. Will there be Ye x Adidas in the future? Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
