Make-up brand owner, Kat Von D whose brand is favoured by many the world over, has made big changes to her life. Popular for her vegan brand of make-up in bright bold colors and gothic styles, Von D has made big changes to her personal life.

Also known for her outlandish tattoos, she recently got baptized and renounced all affiliations to things related to the occult and witchcraft.

She took to Instagram to share a video of the ceremony, which was held in a church with her friends around her showing their support. Quite a number of them sported tattoos and body piercings too, a reminder of her old life.

The video depicts the traditional baptism ceremony conducted by a pastor. The conversion and baptism come as no surprise as she admitted to going through a spiritual battle since last year.

She said that in the last few years, she had come to the realization that she had gotten many things wrong in the past.

“Today, I went through my entire library and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be. I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with his content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”

Kat Von D added that she makes no judgement on people who are into the occult or witchcraft but as someone who is going through a spiritual battle she wants to surround herself and her family with love and light.

This also explains her drastic move from Los Angeles to a small town in Indiana. She said that Los Angeles is not the place for her because of the terrible polices, tyrannical government overreach,  ridiculous taxing and so much corruption.

“We just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where there is nature, where my son can be free to play, and where we can eventually retire one day,” she said.
