Kris Jenner takes pride in many aspects of her life, but there’s a particular moment she deeply regrets. In a recent episode of “The Kardashians,” Jenner, who is 67 years old, had a candid conversation with her daughter, Khloé Kardashian, about her infidelity with soccer player-turned-animator Todd Waterman in 1989 while she was still married to her husband, Robert Kardashian Sr. According to Jenner it is her life’s biggest regret. The discussion arose when Khloé Kardashian asked her mother about her mindset during the affair, especially given that she had four children and a family at the time. Jenner acknowledged her youth and naivety, explaining that she didn’t fully grasp the consequences of her actions.
Something better elsewhere
Khloé Kardashian pressed further, inquiring about what might have been lacking in her father’s role that led Jenner to seek an affair. Jenner admitted that Robert Kardashian had been an excellent husband and father, and she couldn’t pinpoint a specific reason. She confessed that she had mistakenly believed that something better awaited her elsewhere.
In a confessional interview, Jenner expressed her hope that Khloé Kardashian would carefully consider her decisions regarding Tristan Thompson, her ex-partner and the father of her children. Kris cited her experience of forming a close friendship with Robert Kardashian after their divorce and her regrets about their separation, urging her daughter not to rush into severing ties with Thompson.
Everything happens for a reason
Despite her regrets about her past behavior, Jenner emphasized that everything happens for a reason and that she lives her life with the belief that there’s a divine plan. She acknowledged that her affair, while not a source of pride, eventually led to the birth of Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Jenner was married to Robert Kardashian Sr. from 1978 to 1991, and they had four children together. After their divorce, she met Caitlyn Jenner in 1990, and they married after five and a half months. Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner were together for 22 years before announcing their separation in 2013, with the divorce finalized in 2014.
Remaining friends
Following her divorce from Robert Kardashian, the two remained close friends, and he gained national attention as an attorney for O.J. Simpson during his 1994 murder trial. Robert Kardashian was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2003 and sadly passed away in September of that year at the age of 59.
