Age is just a number and Shania Twain mud photoshoot shows this when she declared that she would never allow society and fashion trends to dictate to her what to or not to wear.
“Invigorated” and “energized” at 57 years old, Twain focuses now on self-care and cultivating a positive mindset. The singer asserts she is “comfortable” in her own skin after posing naked covered in mud for a different cover of her new album Queen of Me. According to her, she will wear what she wants, even if the clothes are designed for people younger than her.
Shania Twain mud photoshoot and aging
“Now I’m an older woman, and women in menopause’s bodies are changing.
“When you’re in menopause and your body’s changing, they’re not making fun, attractive clothes for women in their 50s. It’s all made for teens and people in their 20s. I was like, ‘Screw that, I’m gonna’ start getting comfortable, literally in my own skin, naked.'”
It appears that the ‘You’re Still The One’ hitmaker is no longer afraid to look in the mirror and embrace her natural self.
In their late 50s, many women opt to shy away from the mirror and prefer low lights in intimate moments.
However, Shania Twain said she refuse to hide myself and let fashion and society dictate my choices. I embrace my aging and am comfortable in my own skin.
That’s why I’m proudly doing a photo shoot with nothing but my confidence. I will face my fears, find beauty in my own reflection, and proudly own it.” stated Shania Twain with determination and courage.
“I’m taking ownership of this, I’m comfortable in my own skin, I’m doing a photo shoot with all my clothes off. I’m going to sit and look at these photographs, I’m going to face these fears. And I’m going to find the beauty in this,” Shania said.
“I’m more adventurous now and I’m just excited about what is new and what I can experiment with,” the Grammy-award-winning singer said with audacity.
