Taylor Swift surprised the audience at the HAIM concert in the O2 Arena. The 32-year-old got on stage with a mic in hand as the audience went ga-ga. She performed a mash-up of her hit with the singing sisters.
HAIM comprises of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim. “I haven’t been on stage in a very long time. It’s nice to be back. When I heard my girls were playing in London at O2, I thought, I’m gonna have to see that. And it looks like there’s about 20,000 other people who also think that,” said Swift.
The thrilled audience enjoyed every second of the singing sensation’s performance.
“If we were to do some sort of mash-up, we could possibly maybe get you to sing the loudest thing you have sung all night. Which is a big challenge, because you have been singing very loudly-extraordinary work!”, said Swift.
The crowd went wild and started singing along when they performed a mash-up of Gasoline-HAIM’s 2020 collaboration with Swift’s hit single Love Story.
HAIM has in the past opened for Swift in 2015 during their 1989 World Tour, and the pair have collaborated many times with Swift featuring on HAIM’s 2020 album, Women in Music Pt III and HAIM appearing on Swift’s song, No Body No Crime off her album Evermore which was also released in 2020.
Swift has just released a new song titled Carolina in June. The song was also played back in the new mystery drama, Where the Crawdad’s Sing.
The American singer is often in London with her long time boyfriend Joe Alwyn living a simpler more laid back life than she would be in the US.
The duo bought a £7 million flat together, a townhouse in Primrose Hill. She has even written a song about her life in London with Alwyn titled London Boy after they started dating in 2017.
