South Korean drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo has become a hit with audiences all over the globe. The series stars Park Wun Bin, Kang Tae Oh and Kang Ki Young and follows the story of an autistic lawyer as she faces challenges in her career and life.

The show has become so popular that fans are asking for a second season and the series’ director Yoo In Shik spoke about this in a recent interview.

“The series is currently half broadcasted. As I said before, having a second season or a third season would be a blessing. To succeed, many parts such as career and scheduling need to align. Currently, there aren’t any clear details but all that can be said is that ‘everyone has a lot of love [for the drama].’”

Yoo also had a lot of good things to say about lead actor Park Eun Bin.

“After watching it, you will know that there are not many actors who can play the role. At the beginning, when we discussed the role with Park Eun Bin, she thought that it would be difficult. I felt that if she wasn’t casted, it would be difficult to continue. I didn’t have anyone else in mind for the role, so I had to wait and wait.  Park Eun Bin exceeded my expectations and so I wanted to say ‘Park Eun Bin Forever!’”

The show premiered on June 29, 2022 and airs every Wednesday and Thursday on KST. It is also available on Netflix in selected regions.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo revolves around Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), an autistic lawyer, working at a large law firm. She has a high IQ of 164, outstanding memory, and a creative way of thinking, but she has low emotional intelligence and poor social skills which makes life very challenging for her.

Although she faces a lot of prejudice and irrationality against her, she manages to handle legal cases with a unique perspective and does well as a lawyer.
