The British actor who plays Loki, Tom Hiddleston refuses to discuss his past relationship with pop star Taylor Swift in interviews and press events.

Even though it has been over three years since Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift were dating, the actor behind Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe reportedly won’t discuss his ex-girlfriend.

It’s understandable that he doesn’t want to discuss his personal life when promoting his performances during interviews but what’s interesting is how specific his representatives are when it comes to the topic.

The New York Times reporter Laura Collin-Hughes mentioned in her recent profile piece that when it came to arranging the interview, Tom Hiddleston’s publicist had one very specific request; no questions about Taylor Swift.

The profile was related to his stage performance in Betrayal which is about problematic marriage so it makes sense that Tom Hiddleston’s personal life would be off-limits. A quote from the piece says:

“And there was one stipulated no-go zone in this encounter, a condition mentioned by a publicist only after I’d arrived: No talk of Taylor Swift, with whom Mr. Hiddleston had a brief, intense, headline-generating romance that, post-breakup, she evidently spun into song lyrics. That was three years ago, and I hadn’t been planning to bring her up.”

Fortunately, Tom Hiddleston isn’t short of characters to step into should his personal life be difficult, like his role in the Loki Disney+ series.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the brothers.
