Victoria Beckham has discussed her husband David Beckham’s alleged infidelity publicly for the first time in a new Netflix documentary called “Beckham.” She expressed that it was the unhappiest period in her life and admitted to feeling resentment towards David Beckham during this time. Despite feeling unheard, she chose to internalize her emotions to support his soccer career as she was mindful of his needs. The former Spice Girl and fashion designer wed the former athlete in July 1999.
In 2003, David Beckham moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, while Victoria Beckham stayed in the UK with their sons Brooklyn and Romeo. Though they didn’t mention the women involved in the affair allegations, two individuals, Rebecca Loos and Sarah Marbeck, claimed to have had affairs with David Beckham. Victoria Beckham later decided to join David Beckham in Spain, and they faced immense public scrutiny.
Hardest period to go through
Victoria said it was the hardest period for the couple. The experience took a toll on their marriage, making them feel like they were against the world and even against each other. Victoria Beckham described it as a “nightmare” that deeply affected her. David Beckham also became emotional when reflecting on these challenging moments, stating that they didn’t know how they got through it. They emphasized their love for each other and their commitment to fighting for their family.
Despite the affair allegations, David Beckham struggled with his performance on the soccer field and experienced physical distress daily. However, they eventually overcame these difficulties and welcomed their third son, Cruz, in 2005. They later expanded their family with the arrival of their daughter Harper in 2011.
