non-working Royal

After getting the kick out of Buckingham Palace, Prince Andrew is now practically on his own, as a non-working Royal and there is nothing he can do about it.

The Prince with a now infamous reputation has hired a new communications crew as spin doctors to restore his reputation. But this did not stop King Charles from booting him out of the Palace.

“Any presence at the Palace is officially over. The King has made it clear. He isn’t a working royal. He’s on his own,” said a palace source.

Andrew’s role of Colonel of the Grenadier Guards has also been bestowed on the Queen Consort Camilla instead.

According to a Sun newspaper report, the Home Office also stripped him of his £3 million-a-year, 24-hour armed security and said that the Royal Household will pick up the tab. Andrew will keep the 31-bed Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate, however.

Andrew did join King Charles and the royal family for the traditional Christmas Day church visit. He appeared with the royals on Dec 25 as they attended the service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Norfolk. He also greeted the public outside the church. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were also present with their husbands.

A non-working Royal

The 62-year-old Duke will no longer have an office in the building or be able to use it as a correspondence address. In addition the skeletal number of employees who have been there also face retrenchment since their services will no longer be needed.

In February this year, Prince Andrew paid millions of pounds to settle a US civil sex assault case by Virginia Giuffre while not admitting liability.

The sum was reportedly close to £12 million. Giuffre sued him saying that Andrew had had sex with her when she was 17 and had been trafficked by his friend, the billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The settlement is believed to also include a big donation to Giuffre’s charity in support of victims rights.
