Alia praised her Heart of Stone co-star Gal Gadot and said she was one of the reasons why the actor was ‘extremely excited’ about the film. Alia said she met the film’s director virtually after reading the script, instead of having to travel all the way to meet him in person.

As per a Pinkvilla report, in a recent interview Alia was quoted as saying, “My team sent me the script and they said, ‘You know they would like for you to read the script and if you are interested, we can get you to Zoom meet with the with the director’.

“Thanks to Zoom, a lot of this has become possible. You don’t have to fly to a meeting. You can do a virtual meeting. I read the script and of course I heard that Gal Gadot was going to be starring in it and was also producing it, which I was extremely excited about because I am such a huge admirer of her work and just the person, the force that she is.”

Heart of Stone will release on Netflix. In July, Alia announced she had completed filming her portion in the upcoming action-drama. Alia shared the news on Instagram, along with a series of photos from the film’s set. She expressed gratitude to her co-stars and the director for the unforgettable experience. Alia shared in a recent interview how she balanced shooting for an action movie while, she was pregnant. Speaking with Variety, Alia had said, “It was my first Hollywood big English picture experience and I had quite a task at hand because I was shooting for the first time an action movie.

“But I’m also pregnant so there were so many layers for me to deal with. But they made it so seamless and so easy and so comfortable for me. It’s something that I will never forget because of how beautifully and how well I was treated.”

Alia’s upcoming projects include Brahmastra, her first film with Ranbir Kapoor. The Ayan Mukerji film is set to release in theatres on September 9. She also Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. The film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
