Ordinarily Extraordinary Bezos

Ordinarily Extraordinary Bezos, that is what Jeff’s girlfriend Lauren Sanche said about him.

In his book entitled Jeff Bezos: The World-Changing Entrepreneur, Chris McNab said that Bezos’s wealth is a “poor metric by which to measure his success.” While Jeff was 2020’s richest man in modern world history, with a net worth of $200 billion, Bezos’ wealth was more of an outcome than a goal.

How does he think? How does he innovate? How does he make his mark on this planet? Does he have an exciting, sincere love life, or just confine himself to a string of women drawn to his money? What kind of person is he?

Ordinarily Extraordinary Bezos

“He’s really funny,” says girlfriend Lauren Sanchez. “He makes me laugh all the time.”

Besides having a good sense of humor, Jeff is a “mainstay” in their kitchen since he also cooks with precision.

Lauren narrated what their Sundays look like. “Every Sunday morning, Jeff makes pancakes. He wakes up early. He gets the Betty Crocker cookbook out every time, and I’m like, “OK, you’re the smartest man in the world; why don’t you have this memorized yet?” Lauren hilariously explained. “But he opens it up every time: Exact portions make the best pancakes in the world.”

According to Lauren, they spend so much time together. “We love to be together and we love to work together. He’s helping me with the book. He’s getting his pilot’s license. We fly together. We work out together. We’re together all the time,” Sánchez revealed.

Sánchez shared a tribute to Bezos on her social media platforms for his 58th birthday, saying, “If I had one wish for you on this 58th time around the sun, it would be that the world will see you through my eyes.”

She added that while most people know him for his cleverness, she sees his heart. “They don’t see the man who puts everything aside to help a sick friend, but my eyes do. They don’t see the man who wakes up early every morning to make breakfast for the kids so they can laugh and talk about life and science and how to make this world a better place—my eyes do. They don’t see the man who wants everyone to feel joy, whose heart is immeasurable, and whose ability to love is infinite. My eyes see this,” she wrote.

Inspiring

“He’s so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day; he’s the most loving human I know,” she added. He is such an ordinarily extraordinary Bezos!

But what makes the Amazon founder astonishingly extraordinary is the fact that he’s readying to give his billions away. As told to CNN, he will primarily focus on fighting climate change and supporting others who can help improve the deep divide over social and political issues. While he hasn’t gone into detailing his game plan for giving away his billions, Bezos has categorically announced to the public this selfless charitable pledge.

Lucky for Sanche to have the ordinarily extraordinary Bezos for herself.
