stalker, kelce Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is addressing persistent rumors about her alleged secret romantic involvement with close female friends. In the prologue for her “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” album, she clarifies that she began spending time exclusively with women when it became apparent that she couldn’t casually date or even have platonic interactions with men without people assuming a romantic connection.

She expressed frustration with a culture that claimed to support women’s liberation but subjected her to Victorian-era moral standards. Swift decided to avoid dating and instead focus on herself, her music, personal growth, and her female friendships, hoping to change the narrative. However, she discovered that people could still sensationalize and sexualize her relationships with women.

Not the first time

This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has addressed rumours about her sexuality. Speaking to Vogue in a 2019 interview, the singer denied that her song “Me!” was a subtle way of coming out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, explaining that she aimed to create uplifting art during a politically tumultuous time.

Rumors about Swift’s alleged romantic involvement with female friends began in the early 2010s when she developed a close friendship with “Glee” star Dianna Agron. Swift even dedicated a song from her “Red” album to Agron, but they stopped hanging out around the release of “1989” in 2014. Despite speculation, Agron has denied any romantic involvement with Swift on multiple occasions.

Seeing NFL star Travis Kelce

Both Swift and Agron have been strong advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community but have never publicly been in queer relationships. Currently, Swift is dating NFL star Travis Kelce, and she announced the re-release of her “1989” album in August.
