Tom Cruise sends Rosie O’Donnell the same cake for Christmas every year and she is super proud of hers showing it off on Instagram! The gift arrived over the weekend with a note that read “Warmest wishes to you this Holiday Season.”
“My tommy sent me a coconut cake !! I love that guy❤️?? #tomcruise” she wrote alongside a picture of the open box housing a coconut-covered bundt cake. It was accompanied by a sparkly, bounding reindeer ornament.
She shared a similar picture around Christmas in 2020, except that the box was still sealed, wrapped in a big beautiful gold and white bow with a similar reindeer ornament and the same exact note.
“Christmas is here when tommy’s gift shows up #holidayseason,” she wrote that year.
O’Donnell is extremely fond of Cruise and said on the Jess Cagle Show, “He is the only person who never misses my birthday. In knowing him for 25 years now, he has never missed my birthday or an event in my life.
“A lot of people say to me, it’s just his secretary but I don’t believe that. I think he knows in early March. ‘Oh, it’s Rosie’s birthday coming up,” and he sends me something. Every single year for 25 years.”
She said that Tom Cruise was a classy guy for never forgetting her birthday and holidays.
Tom Cruise made a strong impression on her during The Rosie O’Donnell Show way back in 2001 when he was promoting his film Vanilla Sky. He embraced her and presented her with a bouquet of flowers to which she had said, “I really like you, you are aware of it, I’m sure.”
The comedy actress is not the only one to receive cakes though as Cruise sends the same cake with the same note to Kirsten Dunst, Jimmy Fallon, Cobie Smulders, Graham Norton, Henry Cavill and Barbara Walters.
The White Chocolate Bundt Cake is from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California, a family run bakery and Cruise has been buying cakes from there for years.
