parental rights

The divorce of the LGBTQ+ community seems to be continuing onwards after a presumably queer or trans person states that parental rights are not important. The individual states, “to hell with this idea of parental rights.” Unfortunately, due to activists like this, many would automatically see the LGBTQ+ community in a negative light.

According to CBC news, House Republicans passed an education bill  emphasizing parents’ rights in the classroom. This marks Congress’s foray into an increasingly powerful U.S. movement that seeks to expand parent oversight of how gender and race are taught in public schools. Though the bill is unlikely to pass in a Democrat-controlled Senate, parental rights has emerged as a top issue for Republicans ahead of the 2024 elections.

Furthermore,  a tidal wave of legislation has been passed or introduced in two dozen states this year alone. Critics say the innocuous-sounding term is being weaponized to usher in laws that target trans youth and their families, a strategy with a long history in the U.S. public education system.

Conservatives are pro parental rights

According to X users, they state that the woke crowd is full of irony. On one hand, it is the mother’s right to abort her child if she wants to. However, if she has the baby, she should no longer have rights in trying to raise her baby? Some state that the ultra woke crowd wants parents to just give up their kids and let the state control them.

In addition to this, others complain that some of these “activists” are not having kids on their own. Ironically, at the same time, these people are policing parents in order for them to mould the child in the way they want to. It is rather ironic in a sense as these children are not even their own children.

Following that, users state that just because someone was a kid once does not give them the right to police other people’s children. Users state that some people who had bad experience with their parents should not take it out on others who are trying to raise their children their own way.
