Tim Burton and Monica Belluci officially a couple, make red carpet entrance in Rome

Tim Burton and Monica Belluci are officially a couple. The famous director and actress made their premiere at the 18th Rome Film Festival which was held at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome.

Burton who is 65 years old wore a black suit and 59-year-old Belluci wore an off-shoulder gown in dark grey.  The pair were seen holding hands at the premiere of the film Diabolik Chi Se.

Belluci confirmed the news to Elle France stating how happy she was.

“What can I say… I’m glad I met the man, first of all. It’s one of those encounters that rarely happens in life… I know the man, I love him, and now I’m going to meet the director, another adventure begins.”

The couple have worked together on Beetlejuice 2 in London. The film will be out in cinemas on Sept 6, 2024. Belluci will play the wife of Michael Keaton in the film.

The duo did appear together in Madrid sometime in February and they also appeared at the Lumiere Film Festival in Lyon in October 2022. Incidentally, Bellucci presented Burton with the lifetime achievement award at the film festival.

Speaking about the film she said she found it very appealing as the movie features monsters that are kind, turning darker aspects of people into something bright and forgiving.

Michael Keaton, 71 who will be reprising his role in the film also attested to the film being the best fun he has had in a long long time.

“And you know what it is? We’re doing it exactly like we did the first movie. Burton and I were talking about it years and years ago, never telling anybody. We’ve both said we’re doing it many times. We both agreed, if it happens, it has to be done as close to the way we made it the first time,” said Keaton.
