With a career spanning over 40 years, Andy Lau has some 160 movies and 20 television dramas to his credit. Well known for his acting ability and versatility, Lau recently spoke about how he handled some of the awkward moments filming intimate scenes with some of the most beautiful Hong Kong actresses of the 90s.

He also admitted to sometimes having a ‘physical reaction’ to a particular scene but did not divulge which actress evoked this feeling in him. He said that he always communicated with his co-stars when filming intimate scenes. He would often tell them that this was as a result of getting too immersed in the scene during filming and he hoped that they would not mind if they felt any physical changes from him.

When asked which female star caused such reactions in him, Lau blushed saying, “I can’t reveal who she was, or it would be awkward for those who did not get a reaction from me.” Netizens were quick to respond to his reaction, praising him for his diplomatic answer and emotional intelligence.

Describing his co-stars on Kangsi Coming he told hosts Dee Hsu and Kevin Tsai that Idy Chan made his heart flutter the most; Anita Mui was like a brother; Rosamund Kwan was the most beautiful; and Maggie Cheung was the most stylish and sexy.

He also spoke about an intimate scene with Cheung in As Tears Go By when he was only allowed to drape a towel over his lower body and Maggie had worn a transparent outfit with nothing underneath. The script required him to pull off her outfit in a lovemaking scene and he said that filming that scene left a deep impression on him. He said that from then on he always praised Cheung for her sex appeal during their collaboration.
