Adele says she needs a break after her Las Vegas residency ends sometime in the fall. She spoke about her plans to take a break after her Munich residency on August 31.
At the custom-built Munich arena called Adele Arena she said, “I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly.”
Adele performed for 10 nights in Munich. She will resume her performance at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace in October.
She said after that she will take a hiatus. “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.”
Adele has said in the past that she doesn’t like being famous. In an interview with Germany’s ZDF magazine, she said, “I want a big break after this, and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
She said that in the last two years, the 100 live residency shows she has done have made her tank quite empty. Way back in January, Adele told her audience at one of her shows that she won’t be writing an album for quite some time.
“But next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live.”
The singer has not gone on a world tour since her 2016-2017 tour. Adele has a routine of taking time out for herself between albums and tours and these stretches have increased over time.
Fans were guessing that she is taking time off to get married to her fiancé, Rich Paul.
She announced her engagement to him at one of her Munich shows last month.
Her fans also think that she will likely have a child with the 42-year-old sports agent soon.
“I feel Adele is going to have another child with her fiancé, get married and live a normal life,” said one fan on Tik Tok.
