alcohol

Adele says she has quit alcohol completely and she made the announcement when she saw someone in the audience drinking a whiskey sour during her Las Vegas performance last week.

“I stopped drinking… maybe like three and a half months ago. It’s boring, I mean, oh my god, it’s boring. I was literally borderline alcoholic for quite a lot of my twenties, but I miss it so much. I cut out caffeine. So enjoy your whiskey sour. I’m very, very jealous,” she said.

Earlier this year, (sometime in March) she spoke about her drinking habits during the pandemic. She admitted to crazy alcohol drinking binges during that time saying that it was not uncommon for her to start drinking at 11 am and finish four bottles of wine. She said that most of the time she was drunk.

In an interview with Vogue in October 2021, she said that she “had a close relationship with alcohol.”

“I was always very fascinated by alcohol. It’s what kept my dad from me. So I always wanted to know what was so great about it.”

Stopping drinking however does not mean she has given up on partying as she will be throwing a big bash for her son’s 11 year old birthday. The singer says that birthdays are a big thing in her family and the entire month is usually one of celebration.

The singer says her son has a whole bunch of stuff planned asking her if he can do this or that and she feels he is too young to be doing so many things for his birthday but then 11-year-olds today are almost like they are going on 2025 she says.

“He is more savvy in every way that I am and I ever have been or ever will be. That is my week, so I guess my update next week will be being a bullied mother probably!”

Adele shares a son with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. The singer is currently engaged to Rich Paul.
