South Park

The famous and controversial cartoon about elementary school kids and political issues have been the talk of the town recently. This is primarily due to how they have been accurately predicting how the woke people will behave. Mind you, most of these episodes were filmed more than a decade ago.

IndieWire states, an episode of “South Park,” titled “Board Girls,” continues a longstanding trend of transphobic and offensive content. In this episode, a character named Heather, resembling a macho Randy Savage, enters and dominates a women’s competition, sparking discomfort in PC Principal and his wife Strong Woman. “

However, “South Park” has delved into transphobic content since 2005 when Mr. Garrison transitions. Their ninth-season episode, “Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New V*gina,” perpetuates insensitivity and offensive stereotypes about transgender people. The show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, revisit these themes, as seen in the Season 11 episode “D-Yikes,” which mocks lesbians.

To most liberals, they seem to view the show as transphobic rather than a comedic one. This is likewise to the conservatives as well, as they seem to find it as a hidden message for the masses to unlock.

Conservatives calling South Park ahead of its time

Apparently from a 2005 South Park episode, Mr Garrison became transgender and thought he needed an abortion. However, to his dismay, his new female organs do not work despite spending $5,000 on it. Some feel that if there are trans women out there who receive a uterus transplant, they might want to simply abort the babies they conceive.

This is rather an unfair statement as not all individuals are the same. Furthermore, the topic of abortion is rather a sensitive one as well. X users state that the show has always been pushing the boundaries of comedy. Despite this, it seems that reality is catching up with the show’s comedic elements.

Following that, some state that trans individuals should learn from this South Park episode. However, there are several more transphobic remarks directed to trans people as many conservatives do not want to participate in the non-binary pronouns.
