WWII 'hellship’ that held over 1,000 British & Dutch prisoners of war found off Philippine coast
The Hofuku Maru has been found off the western coast of Luzon (the Philippines). It sank on 21 September 1944, with 1,289 British and Dutch prisoners of war aboard; 1,047 died.
