1.Suits (2011)

You should catch this TV show not only because a royal (Meghan Markle) is acting in it. Mike (Patrick J.Adams) is a gifted person who uses his photogenic memory to score in legal exams for students who are less gifted. He somehow lands a job at a well-known New York law firm even though he does not have a law degree and had been expelled from law school. He meets Rachel (Meghan Markle) at the firm and the two sparks a romance.

2. Survivor (2000)

One of the first riveting reality shows on TV is Survivor. Currently the show is at its 42nd season on CBS. Netflix airs the show from Season 18 which is set in Tocantins and also you can go on to Season 32 in Kaôh Rōng. The premise is that a bunch of people are literally stranded on an island and the sole survivor will win the competition.

3. Love is Blind (2020)

In this reality show, men and women will date each other, sight unseen. They are only able to communicate with one another through a pod connected by a panel. Each of them take turns to ‘date’ one another and once they have made a choice who they want to spend their lives with, they are able to see one another after a proposal. The couples are given a certain time frame to prepare the wedding and only at the altar will they really make a decision to be married to one another.

4. Insecure (2016)

Issa Rae stars in this sitcom as a non-profit staffer going through the challenges of life in Los Angeles. The mood of this show is realistic, funny and witty. Molly (Yvonne Orji) plays Issa’s best friend Molly who is a coloured lawyer in a mainly white law firm. Issa and Molly have complicated love lives and Insecure is about how they navigate the love lives.

5. The Great British Baking Show (2010)

If you enjoy baking, eating, cooking or just watching people compete to bake the best cakes then you are in for a treat in this reality show that has been around for a decade or more. Despite the competition, the contestants of the show are cordial to each other and the hosts and judges are supportive.

6. BoJack Horseman (2014)

BoJack (Will Arnett) was popular in the 90s and was in sitcom Horsin’Around. Since then he has fallen from grace in 2010s. Diane Nguyen (Alison Brie) helps him to make a comeback by writing his memoir and she falls into substance abuse and depression. It’s worth noting that despite the heavy themes, it’s actually a comedy. Paul F. Tompkins also deserves special recognition for his portrayal of Mr. Peanutbutter, a Labrador Retriever who was once BoJack’s sitcom rival and has now become a complicated friend-enemy.

7. Cunk on Earth (2023)

Charlie Brooker collaborates with Diane Morgan to create a show centered around Morgan’s comedic persona, Philomena Cunk. Philomena Cunk, a presenter who exudes an unwarranted seriousness despite her questionable intelligence, had already been featured in several BBC programs. One of her ventures, “Cunk On Earth,” takes viewers on a whirlwind tour of human history in just five half-hour episodes, meticulously emulating the production and style of educational documentaries.

8. Dear White People (2017)

In the series, titled “Dear White People,” Logan Browning takes on the role of Samantha White, who fearlessly confronts her classmates with uncomfortable truths through her college radio show, which shares the same name as the series. Brandon P. Bell reprises his film role as the all-American Troy Fairbanks, and Giancarlo Esposito serves as the narrator for the first three out of four seasons.

9. The Devil’s Plan (2023)

In this gripping show, twelve exceptionally impressive contestants, including an MIT-trained lawyer, a professional poker player with a background in biomedical sciences, and an actor with an inventive streak and a master’s degree in evolutionary psychology, come together to compete in a series of intelligence tests. 10. Élite(2018)

Set in and around the fictional high school of Las Encinas in Madrid, this series unravels the lives of three scholarship students as they navigate the world of privilege and affluence among their wealthy peers.
