The on-again, off-again saga of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez seems to be going on a never-ending loop. The latest news is that they may be getting back together after spending months apart.
Affleck spent five hours with his wife at their rental home in Los Angeles on Aug 13 as rumours of their divorce continued to circulate.
Wearing a navy blue suit and black sunglasses while sporting a duffel bag, he was seen at their house in Brentwood.
They met around 5 pm and he left at about 10 pm. Earlier that day Lopez was seen at Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house where she dropped off one of her children Emme, 16. She then took her stepson Samuel shopping at Neiman Marcus and to the Century City mall.
Garner has three children with Affleck: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15 and Samuel, 12.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, popularly known as Bennifer, have not been seen together since June, and according to the grapevine, they are headed for divorce. In May, Affleck started living on separate premises.
The couple has also put their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion up for sale. Meanwhile, Affleck purchased his own home for $20.5 million. During the summer, they were not together at all. Lopez took a holiday in Europe and the Hamptons while Affleck was busy working in Los Angeles.
Neither did they celebrate or spend time together for the second anniversary of their Vegas wedding or Lopez’s 55th birthday, which are both in July. Their official wedding anniversary is on Aug 20 and it remains to be seen if they will be celebrating together on that date.
According to a TMZ report just last week, they have stopped speaking to each other.
Lopez and Affleck were dating from 2002 to 2004. They were engaged but later broke up. They then started dating again in 2021 and married in July 2022 in Las Vegas and had a more formal ceremony in Georgia in August the same year.
