Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump says that she has no intention of getting involved with her father’s political campaign next year. Trump issued an announcement last month that he would be making another bid for President. He said that he would be seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
“I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration’s accomplishments.”
Ivanka was a full time adviser to the president in March 2017 after informally advising her father during the first two months of his administration. While it is quite uncommon to have a president’s daughter serving in the administration, it is not something alien to her as she was also executive Vice President at the Trump Organisation and has been her father’s trusted adviser for years.
Ivanka and the White House
Ivanka Trump who is Donald’s second oldest child, has three children, Arabella, Joseph and Theodore with her husband Jared Kushner.
Both Kushner and her worked as advisers to President Donald Trump during his four years in office and assisted in his campaigns in 2016 and 2020. She was also the one to introduce her father at his launch event in 2015 during his first Republican presidential campaign.
According to Trump White House archives during her father’s administration her focus was on “the education and economic empowerment of women and their families as well as job creation and economic growth through workforce development, skills training and entrepreneurship.
After Donald left office, the couple moved to Miami and have been living a low key lifestyle. Kushner did however attend Donald Trump’s campaign announcement for 2024 at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
