Here are some great new Korean web-dramas that we highly recommend.

1. Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?

Based on a Korean comic book, this one stars Ong Seong Wu and Park Ho San. This simple story revolves around Kang Go Bi (Ong) who is looking to get a job at a coffee shop despite Park Seok (Park) not needing any worker. The two workers share a close bond and this series is very soothing for your soul. It is a comforting show almost like getting a warm cup of coffee on a cold winter’s day.

2. Kiss Goblin

Bae In Hyuk plays Ban Sook a goblin who is told he must kiss a human 10 times in order to become human. His need to become human is so great that he decides to go for it.

On his quest he meets Oh Yeon Ah who decides to help him achieve his goal but at the same time a romance is blossoming between them. This romantic comedy is a fun watch for all.

3. XX

This story revolves around Yoon Nana (Hani) who is a bartender at bar XX. New employee Park Dan Hee has a crush on Nana. The bar is then taken over by Lee Roo Mi (Hwang Seung Eon) who used to be best friends with Nana until they had a falling out.

The series is both mysterious and scandalous at the same time with a love story going on in the background. It’s also a lot of fun to watch the bartenders prepare all the eclectic cocktails and drinks.

4. Summer Guys

This one features three men and a woman who work together at a cocktail bar on the beach reminiscent of the 80’s show Cocktail with Tom Cruise. It stars Kang Mina as Oh Jun Dal who is extremely disheartened to find her bar catching fire despite her best efforts to make it a happening place. Bartenders, Lee Jung Shin, Lee Jung Sic and Viini then go all out to help Jun Dal get her business up and running.

5. Bad Girlfriend

This caper is quite a fun romp as we see Yang Ji Soo (Byeon Seo Yun) two timing men. She works at an advertising company and is dating her boss while at the same time also dating another young man who works at a coffee shop. Suddenly the coffee shop guy gets a contract job at Ji Soo’s company and she then has to a harder time juggling both guys which is amusing to watch.

There is a lots of romance in this one and there is a good amount of unpredictability as well as it’s hard to predict where the story is going to go.
