Chris Hemsworth casted for ‘Thor 4’

Chris Hemsworth is returning to his Asgardian thunder god Thor role and this will make him the Marvel Comic Universe (MCU) hero with the most number of solo cinematic adventures.

New Zealand Taika Waititi who wrote and directed 2017’s Thor:Ragnarok is joining the Asgardian’s next adventure.

The director is known for independent films such as romantic comedy Eagle Vs. Shark and 2010’s Boy which was nomimated for the Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Another one of his works, 2004 short film Two Cars, One Night was nominated for an Academy Awards for Best Live Action Short.

He also co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed the 2014 vampire mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows which was adapted into a hit FX series of the same name.

Waititi’s next film project is a dark comedy drama Jojo Rabbit which is due in cinemas in October.

The 43-year-old Oscar-nominated director is also an actor and comedian and he earned praise from MCU fans for his injection of a healthy dose of intelligent humour into Thor’s world in Ragnarok.

Thor was last seen in Avengers: Endgame in April and he was seen joining his MCU allies the Guardians of The Galaxy, appointing Valkyrie as the new ruler of Asgard.

Australian actor Hemsworth, 35, starred as Thor in Thor (2011) The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Doctor Strange (2016), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
