Tom Cruise’s ex-wife Katie Holmes has called it quits with her new beau Bobby Wooten III, 33 just eight months after they started dating.
“They just didn’t work out together for the long run,” said one source. The couple made their first appearance on the red carpet at The Silver Ball, The Moth’s 25th Anniversary Gala.

Katie Holmes also met Wooten’s family over the summer when she attended a friend’s wedding at the The Hamptons. The couple had met through mutual friends and apparently had a lot in common.
According to one source they had looked very much in love at the time. “Katie spent time with Bobby’s family who really liked her. Katie was very unassuming and kind to everyone. Whenever they would go without seeing each other, they would kiss and be very happy to be together again. The Dawson’s Creek actress was married to Tom Cruise in 2006 and they divorced in 2012. They have a daughter Suri, now 16.
Wooten is a musician and composer and is currently playing bass in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. He performed with Carly Rae Jansen at this year’s Coachella and was nominated for a Grammy award. He is also an adjunct instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
