Things are looking up for the hit idol competition show Queendom 2. The show which premiered on March 31 with its second season garnered higher viewership ratings than both Season 1 of Queendom and Kingdom, Legendary War (which is the male version of the same show) according to Nielsen ratings.
The hit show was also listed as one of the top shows in the non-drama category last week.
The new line up features five girl groups and one soloist in the competition. Hosted by Girls Generation member and popular soloist Taeyeon the heat is definitely on to see who makes it to number one as the Queen of all girl groups.
In order to be at the top of their game and beat their rivals, the groups will have multiple musical challenges; including performing to surprise song and dance routines as well as singing and dancing with rival groups and in the final round performing to a brand new song of their own.
The South Korean music themed variety TV show’s first episode will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
