Loos

Rebecca Loos, who previously worked as David Beckham’s assistant, responded to a wave of negative comments on social media following the spotlight on her alleged affair with the former soccer star in his recent Netflix docuseries, appropriately titled “Beckham.”

Allegations of an affair emerged in 2003 when David Beckham moved from Manchester United in England to Real Madrid in Spain. In 2004, Rebecca Loos publicly claimed to have had a four-month relationship with the footballer.

Loos on humour in nasty comments

Now a yoga and meditation teacher, Loos found strength in the supportive comments on her Instagram page after facing criticism on social media for discussing the alleged affair, which occurred nearly 20 years ago. She captioned a photo about letting go and gaining courage in life’s mountains. Loos responded thanks to a supportive comment, saying she is taking the nasty comments with as much humour as she can.

Victoria Beckham shared her feelings of resentment during that period when she chose to remain in England to raise their young sons while David Beckham played soccer in Madrid.

Unhappy period for Victoria

Victoria Beckham shared that she was the most unhappy she had ever been in her life. It was not that she felt unheard because she chose to internalize a lot of it because she was always mindful of a focus that he needed.

Loos revealed that the couple felt like it was them against the world until David Beckham’s move to Madrid, but even in Spain, it didn’t feel like they had each other.

Happily married

David Beckham, in the documentary, denied all allegations and stated that he was “very happily married” with two children. He emphasized that there was nothing any third party could do to change these facts.

Reflecting on that difficult period, the former footballer said that in all honesty, he had no idea how they went through it. His wife is everything to him and to see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But the couple are fighters and at that time they needed to fight for each other and fight for their family which was worth fighting for.
