Manila, Sept. 9 — The stars of Netflix’s hit Korean series “Squid Game” will be presenters at the 74th Emmy Awards that will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 12.

The Television Academy announced the first batch of presenters for the awards ceremony that will be hosted by Kenan Thompson.

“Squid Game” stars Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon will act as presenters. Lee Jung-jae is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Jung Ho-yeon for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Other presenters are Will Arnett (“Murderville”), Angela Bassett (“9-1-1”; “American Horror Story”), Vanessa Bayer (“I Love That for You”), Kelly Clarkson (“The Kelly Clarkson Show”), Ariana DeBose (“Schmigadoon!”; “Westworld”), Taye Diggs (“All American”; “The Best Man: The Final Chapters”), Hannah Einbinder (“Hacks”), Selena Gomez (“Only Murders in the Building”) and Mariska Hargitay (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”).

Joining them as presenters are Jimmy Kimmel (“Jimmy Kimmel Live!“), Diego Luna (“Andor”; “Narcos: Mexico”), Christopher Meloni (“Law & Order: Organized Crime”), Seth Meyers (“Late Night with Seth Meyers”), Amy Poehler (“Lucy and Desi”), Molly Shannon (“I Love That for You”), Jean Smart (“Hacks”), Kerry Washington (“Live in Front of a Studio Audience: ‘The Facts of Life’ and ‘Diff’rent Strokes'”) and Natalie Zea (“La Brea”; “Justified”).

“Squid Game” bagged 14 nominations at the Emmy Awards.

Earlier, “Squid Game” won four awards at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. These are Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More), Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-Camera Series (One Hour), Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series, Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series, Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series, Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Single Episode, Outstanding Stunt Performance and Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series.

Lee Yoo-mi, who played the role of Ji-yeong in “Squid Game,” won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series. “Squid Game” also won Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Single Episode, Outstanding Stunt Performance, and Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More).
