Donald Trump received a bunch of brickbats for his awkwardness in holding a baby for a recent photo opportunity. The former US president seemed not to be able to hold a baby well despite having five children of his own.
Trump held the tiny infant without supporting her head or the rest of her body and gave her a kiss on the cheek. The mother of the baby however seemed unperturbed by the dangerous and precarious way he held the small child.
Critics who noticed however had plenty to say;
“My he looks like he’s never held a baby in his f….. life. That guy has never held a baby before. Not even his own” reads one comment.
“Why is he holding the kid like that? Ugh. Nothing says I’ve never held a baby before like this photo op,” was another comment.
Brickbats over discomfort
“That dude is seriously uncomfortable in his own skin. Sometimes I almost feel sorry for him and then the moment is gone,” said another.
Actress Mo Collins called him out saying that he holds babies like a glass of water.
Trump, 77 continues to be in hot soup as the only former president to be criminally indicted and now faces 91 felony counts. Trump says that his high profile trial is messing up his campaign.
“I’ve been wasting a lot of time on case that should have never been brought. You see what’s happening. The government. The government lied. They just lied. They didn’t reveal all of the evidence that made me totally innocent of anything they say. The government lied. They totally misrepresented the case. So unfortunately, I have to be here, I’m not campaigning! I have to be here for this,” he said outside the the courtroom last week.
Strangely there is no requirement for his attendance at the trial as it is not mandatory.
