Brooklyn Beckham responds to haters mocking his cooking videos

Brooklyn Beckham isn’t bothered by his “nepo baby” reputation, despite being the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham and having faced criticism over his cooking career, which some have labeled as a “wannabe” chef.

In a recent interview with Insider, the 24-year-old influencer shared his indifference to the negativity surrounding his culinary endeavors. He mentioned that honestly, he was used to the hate. It doesn’t really bother him. Cooking makes him happy. He has more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about him.

Backlash from cooking show

The criticism began when he launched his show, “Cookin’ With Brooklyn,” in December 2021. Even though the Facebook Watch series has concluded, Beckham continues to share cooking content on his various social media platforms.

One incident that drew attention was when he used a significant amount of avocado oil to cook just two pieces of chicken, a clip he posted on Instagram over the summer. Some of his followers expressed surprise at the extravagance of using almost an entire bottle of avocado oil, both in terms of cost and environmental impact.

Trying to be the best chef

Brooklyn Beckham lacks formal culinary training but referred to himself as a “chef” in an interview conducted from his luxury sports car. When asked about his profession by TikToker Daniel Mac, he confidently responded, “Um, I’m a chef.” When asked if he considered himself the best chef in the world, he said, “Tryna be!”

Beckham had initially aspired to follow in his father’s athletic footsteps but was released from the football club Arsenal at the age of 15. He then pursued studies in photography and media at a private college in London and was accepted to study photography at the Parsons School in New York. In 2017, he released a book titled “What I See,” featuring 300 personal photographs, including a notable but poorly lit image of an elephant.
